Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel
Your Battle With Acne
If you are like a majority of people, you are dealing with acne and unwanted blemishes to some degree. Whether it is a very mild case with only the occasional whitehead or blackhead or you regularly get more severe breakouts that are impossible to hide, you will do well to find a proper acne treatment that can get rid of blemishes once and for all. If you have shopped for cosmetics very much at all, you have probably heard of the Shiseido brand of cosmetics. We reviewed the Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel to try to get a better idea of its true potential. Often, a brand’s popularity does not coincide with its actual potential and this seems to be the case with Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel.
Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel Ingredients
The best clues as to a product’s effectiveness, other than looking through customer reviews and third-party review sites, lie in the ingredient listing. The main active component in Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel is Salicylic Acid, but we could not find what its concentration is in the product. This is a very important detail because too low of a concentration leads to you seeing no results at all, while too high of a concentration can lead to unwanted side effects. At its optimum concentration, the acne treatment potential of Salicylic Acid is negligible at best. It can reduce acne breakouts by about 10-15%, which does not seem to justify the exorbitant cost of some of these skin care products. Plus, for people with sensitive skin, Salicykic Acid use can result in a an array of side effects including overly dry skin, redness, burning, itching, and irritation. Salicylic Acid is a synthetic chemical and the best acne treatment products we have seen are switching from man-made ingredients to all-natural organic ingredients. Scientists are finding the amazing potential of many natural ingredients to reduce or even completely cure acne breakouts.
Value
Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel comes in a miniscule .5 fl. oz. bottle that retails for about $19. While it must have some acne-fighting ability, there is no evidence that hints at Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel being worth $38 per ounce. This product seems to be grossly over-priced and when you compare it to some of the better products we have reviewed there is no competition in value. They do offer a 180-day return period during which unsatisfied customers may return their order to obtain a refund, but we suggest not wasting your time with this product to begin with. It simply does not appear to have much potential for clearing up your skin. Customer reviews tend to coincide with this point of view and a majority of them confirm our hypothesis that you are better off trying something else for your acne. One positive feature is the nice fragrance Sheseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel has, but that is one of the only plusses we can report. We suggest that you avoid products with synthetic ingredients and try some of the superior all-natural products on the market.
